Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is famous for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Her first fame was the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab and Tezaab, which she co-starred with an established actor Anil Koopor. Then, she starred alongside Aamir as part of Dil. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she began learning to dance from a very young age. When she was still in high school, she attempted acting, but the majority of those early films failed. Then, she discovered success in Indian cinema and rose to the top. In the aftermath of her wedding, she took a short absence from acting prior to returning. Recently, she had a major role to play in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. In addition, she is recognized for her charity work.
